“With the advent of technologies such as big data, AI, robotics, and IOT, we today stand on the precipice of what we may call the fourth industrial revolution. Unprecedented scientific and technological development, as well as the automation of traditional industrial practices, will shift our line of work and provide us with convenient products and services. However, light and shade coexist in all the developments of the times.

In his 1995 book "The End of Work," Jeremy Rifkin makes a radical prediction that by 2050 only 5% of the world population will be needed to run and manage traditional industrial sectors. The prospect of unemployment, on one outlook, is absolutely terrifying. Over the past 30 years of democratic governance, systems of education have often taught students boxed patterns of how to fit within the industrial workforce as "human resources," not to think for oneself beyond the mold with dignified agency and autonomous values.”

“"If technology continues to perpetuate today's rulebook standards and mechanistic institutions are designed to produce an obedient human workforce, the onset of an algorithmized society will only maximize the contradictions of capitalism, subsuming human dignity and values under the torrents of unquestioned automation.

Therefore, we must ask a question here. How can we restore the dignity and value of human beings who have for years been systematically reduced to labor resources, as well as strengthen the sense of community and solidarity that has been oft-challenged by the pillars of capitalism? Can a future society with no employment be a blessing to many?"”
